Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi handed over 10 new classrooms, 100 new desks, and bursary cheques to Loresho and Kabete Vet Lab secondary schools. This was in collaboration with the Westlands NG-CDF.
Speaking at Kabete Vet Lab Secondary after opening the set of classrooms, Mr. Wanyonyi said the Westlands NGCDF had decided to build the classrooms to provide a good learning environment for the students. The MP took stock of the great milestoneS after he started four new secondary schools in the constituency in 2017.
“Today we are handing over new classes as well as commissioning the construction of other classes. The NGCDF will support the new schools to ensure they have the requisite infrastructure. We want to make sure our children have a good environment to learn. Equally, we want our teachers to have a conducive environment to teach,” said Hon Wanyonyi.
Loresho Secondary School
Firstly at Loresho secondary school, the soft-spoken MP unveiled a new block of 5 classrooms and a new modern kitchen block. Similarly, he presented 100 desks and chairs to the institution. He winded up by donating a bursary cheque worth KES 320,000 in addition to a set of sports equipment to their football teams. Lastly, he commissioned the construction of 5 additional classrooms.

Kabete Vet Lab Secondary School
Secondly, at Kabete Vet Lab secondary school, Mr Wanyonyi opened 5 new classes while laying foundation stone for 5 additional classes. Not to mention, that he gave out a bursary cheque worth KES 320,000. This is to cater for bright and needy students in the school.

The expansion of school infrastructure is paramount to address the 100 percent transition to secondary schools. Since 2017, the Westlands NG-CDF has built more than 25 state of the art classrooms. The classes are spacious, fitted with modern whiteboards and tiles.
