Samsung Unveils Galaxy S21

Samsung Electronics has launched the Galaxy S Series range of smart phones in Kenya and across the world.

The range includes the Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S21 + and the Galaxy S21. The devices are mainly characterized by a pro-grade camera for users of any skill level and the most advanced processor ever in a Galaxy device.

The series debuts a head-turning, iconic design, with each device offering the connectivity, power and performance that only Samsung can deliver.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 range of devices will be available for Pre-order from January 22nd to February 11th, 2021

Galaxy S21 was designed for those who want a light design and compact 6.2-inch display. Galaxy S21+ sports an expanded 6.7-inch display and a larger battery, perfect for marathon gamers and binge-watchers.

The Galaxy S21 series introduces an all-new, iconic Contour Cut Camera housing that seamlessly blends into the device’s metal frame for a sleek, yet striking, aesthetic.

Galaxy S21 touts an intelligent, edge-to-edge Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O display with adaptive 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and viewing. It automatically adjusts the frame rate based on the content whether you’re swiping through your social feeds or watching shows.

The display is also easy on the eyes. To help reduce eye fatigue, the new Eye Comfort Shield automatically adjusts the blue light based on the time of day, content you’re viewing, and your bedtime.

Galaxy S21 Ultra that is S-pen enabled is the largest member of the Galaxy S21 series with a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. It is our most intelligent screen yet.

The screen’s refresh rate adjusts to the content you’re viewing from 10Hz to 120Hz to ensure you enjoy the best image while staying power efficient to stretch your battery life even further. Compared with the Galaxy S20, S21 Ultra offers a 25% brighter picture at a 1,500nits of peak brightness, the brightest on a Galaxy smartphone. With a 50% improved contrast ratio it delivers crystal-clear, immersive images, even when outside.

And like the Galaxy S21 and S21+, Galaxy S21 Ultra has Eye Comfort Shield to help reduce eye fatigue  S21 and S21+ will be available in a range of eye-catching colors, including a new signature colour: Phantom Violet. And each device is coated with a luxurious haze finish on the back for a sophisticated look and feel.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra is available in Phantom Black and Phantom Silver and it is coated in a luxurious haze finish for an all-around sophisticated and timeless look. Galaxy S21 Ultra also has three Exclusive Samsung.com Colorways-Phantom Titanium, Phantom Navy, and Phantom Brown and offers improved durability with Corning® Gorilla Glass Victus.

The virtual launch of the Galaxy S21event was streamed from Samsung Headquarters in Korea and was locally viewed at Connect Coffee Lounge on Riverside Drive in Nairobi, Kenya.

The viewing was attended by tech enthusiasts, the Samsung Electronics Managing Director Mr. Seok Min Hong and Head of Integrated Mobile at Samsung Mr. Charles Kimari.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra (512 GB) will retail for 169,999 Shillings, the Galaxy S21 Ultra (256 GB) will retail for 153,999 shillings, the Galaxy S21+ will retail at 124,999 Shillings, the Galaxy S21 (256 GB) will retail at 105,999 while the Galaxy S21(128 GB) will retail at 99,999 shillings.
