The 2026 FKF Super Cup showdown between Gor Mahia and Tusker FC traditional season curtain-raiser id set to take place at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday, 23 August 2026 in Nairobi.

Gor Mahia confirmed the details through their social media platforms, announcing that the highly anticipated clash will kick off at 3pm.

“The venue is confirmed! We will be at Nyayo Stadium this Sunday, August 23rd, 2026 as we take on Tusker FC in the season's curtain raiser (Super Cup) from 3pm,” the club stated.

The FKF Super Cup traditionally brings together the Kenyan Premier League champions and the winners of the domestic cup, offering both sides an opportunity to begin the new campaign with silverware.

The match comes less than a week before the start of the 2026/27 season, which is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, 29 August.

This year's edition pits reigning Premier league champions Gor Mahia against the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Mozzart Bet Cup winners Tusker FC.

Gor Mahia secured their record-extending 22nd league title last season, while Tusker, meanwhile, booked their place in the Super Cup after claiming the 2026 Mozzart Bet Cup edition.

The Brewers edged Kenya Police 2-1 in the final staged in Kwale County, securing the domestic cup and setting up a meeting with Gor Mahia.
