Blankets & Wine, a GoodTimes Africa production, is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated artist lineup for the Kenyan Summer 2025 edition, set for Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the Laureate Gardens, Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani. This year’s edition is themed “COME WE DANCE!" and is an invitation for Africans at home and in the diaspora to find a moment of reprieve, connection and celebration in a year that has been marked by great social, political and economic difficulties. This year's call is to lose oneself - albeit temporarily - in the rhythms, dances and vibrations that have shaped Africa’s dance music all year. A Season of Enhanced Experience and Renewed Trust: The Kenyan Summer 2025 is the first event of Blankets & Wine's 17th year of operation, and the Good Times team is intentionally working on delivering an elevated experience for attendees this December. “For 17 years, we’ve worked steadily to delight our audiences through great artistic line-ups and solid event production. Now that the fruits of our labour are finally yielding at scale, we’re turning our focus on building operational efficiency to deliver the ambition of the festival and the culture at large” says Muthoni Ndonga, the festival's Creative Director. This sentiment is mirrored by the Head of Festivals, Justine Mbugua who affirms that “the commitment to a bigger and better future can only be achieved one edition at a time, and so all our energy right now is being focused on improving the service and experience at the Kenyan Summer edition” The Kenyan Summer 2025 Line Up: The Kenyan Summer is more than a season - it’s a mood! As always, the live stage boasts an impressive array of the finest hits from Africa - From Tanzania’s Marioo whose collaboration with Kenya’s superstar Bien produced the biggest song in Kenya this year (Nairobi), to Iyanii’s debut performance at the festival riding high with hit song Donjo Maber. But the run away star of this edition is the electronic music stage at the festival - Onja Onja- where South Africa’s producer/DJ duo Scorpion Kings will be headlining the stage, alongside the trailblazing House star from the UK - Donae’o whose pioneering sound produced global hits such as “Party Hard” and “I’m fly”. Blankets & Wine Maintains Pace With Multiple Star Co-Headliners for Kenyan Summer 2025 line up “Onja Onja is the fastest growing addition to the vibrant house music scene in Kenya, and without a doubt the home of the vibes at the festival. We have intentionally decided to spotlight this stage to the festival community, and by extension to Africa, to draw the world’s attention to Kenya as the entertainment & culture capital in East Africa.” Muthoni explains. The Blankets Brand Manager, Michelle Njeri further adds ”We are excited to be continuing the UK/Kenya Season 2025 and to continue to spotlight Kenya’s creative scene in The UK through this cultural exchange, and look forward to increasing the visibility of Kenya’s music scene in new markets.” The festival has also curated a Spotify playlist , as a way for attendees to #DiscoverLoveShare the artists, songs and sounds that will make them feel good and get into the mood for the season, despite the everyday realities and difficulties.
