The United Opposition brigade has unveiled its campaign itinerary for the week starting Sunday, November 16, 2025, ahead of the upcoming November 27 mini-polls. In a statement on his X page on Sunday, Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) leader Eugene Wamalwa revealed that the opposition brigade will traverse three counties to campaign for its various candidates ahead of the decisive mini-polls. Mbeere North The campaigns will kick off today, Sunday, November 16th, 2025 in Mbeere North constituency in Embu County. The brigade is expected to drum up support for its joint candidate, Newton Kariuki Ndwiga of the former Attorney General Justin Muturi led Democratic Party (DP). The former musician faces fierce competition against the President William Ruto,s governing United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party candidate Leo wa Muthende and Duncan Mbui of the Chana Cha Kazi Party (CCK) led by former Presidential advisor Moses Kuria. Magarini The outfit will also tour Kilifi County on Tuesday, November 17, 2025, to campaign for Stanley Karisa Kenga, who will fly the opposition banner in the by-elections under the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) headed by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. The former Kilifi County deputy speaker will face off against Harrison Kombe of the late Raila Odinga founded Orange Democratic Movement (ODM). According to Wamalwa, the Kalonzo Musyoka-Rigathi Gachagua-led brigade will conclude the week on Friday, November 21, 2025, by making a return to Malava Constituency in Mumias County. The opposition candidate in the hotly contested seat in the region is Seth Panyako of DAP-K. The Kenya National Union of Nurses (KNUN) supremo is seeking to replace the deceased Malulu Injendi and faces tough opposition from David Ndakwa of the United Democratic Alliance. The coalition’s plan for a joint rally comes amid simmering internal wrangles after DCP deputy leader Cleophas Malala accused Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya of being used by the National Intelligence Service (NIS) to weaken the outfit from within. Speaking on Friday, November 14, 2025, Malala lifted the lid on an alleged plot by the state to use Natembeya to undermine the coalition’s course and sow disunity, thereby preventing the united opposition from clinching all the seats. “Serikali imeona tunaenda kushinda hizi viti zote, wakaenda wakapatia moja wetu pesa kwa jina George Natembeya, ikamwambia, ‘Enda kisia east uende uchokore ili tupoteze huko kisia east ili atigonganishe watu wa DCP na DAP-K; anatumiwa na NIS kuja kututenganisha,’” Malala said.
