Cape Media and FKF sign new sponsorship deal to boost NSL, WPL leagues
Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has today, Tuesday 21 April, 2026 inked a new sponsorship deal with Cape Media.
Cape Media, the parent company that runs Media outlets TV 47 and Radio 47 will inject KSh 4.75 Million into FKF to Boost National Super League (NSL) and Women’s Premier League (WPL).
In the new sponsorship deal, Cape Media will release a total of Ksh1.8M which has been allocated to six selected NSL clubs as a way to boost the clubs and increase the competitiveness of the league.
Additionally, the Women Premier League will receive a total of Ksh2.95M with each of the 12 WPL clubs receiving Ksh100,000 while the league champions will take home Ksh1M.
The beneficiaries of the deal in the NSL include Luanda Villa, Vihiga United, Gucha Stars, Darajani Gogo, Kabati Youth, and Mwatate United.
The Women’s Premier League takes the lion’s share of the package, receiving KSh 2.95 million. Each of the 12 participating clubs will get KSh 100,000 in direct grants aimed at supporting operations and development.
The move is set to inject fresh momentum into the National Super League (NSL) and the FKF Women’s Premier League (WPL).
The partnership will see funds directly disbursed to clubs for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, offering much-needed financial support to teams competing in the country’s second-tier men’s league and top-flight women’s competition.
Under the deal, KSh 1.8 million has been allocated to six selected NSL clubs, with each side receiving KSh 300,000.
FKF lauded Cape Media for the timely intervention, describing the sponsorship as a strong vote of confidence in the growth potential of Kenyan football.
FKF has also called on more corporate partners to come on board and support efforts to build a sustainable football ecosystem, as the country continues to push for greater development and professionalism in the sport.
