Bandari extended their unbeaten run under coach Bernard Mwalala after pipping champions Kenya Police FC 1-0 in a SportPesa League clash staged on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026 at Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Mbaraki Grounds in Mombasa.
Since making his return to the Dockers three weeks ago, Bandari have been on a roll, winning three matches and sharing points once, a run that has seen the coastal side rise to the top half of the log.
Bandari Winger Darius Msagha found the back of the net to settle the contest in the 72nd minute at thecoastal based sun-baked facility.
Before the fixture, both coaches were unbeaten since taking charge at their respective clubs. Bandari head coach Bernard Mwalala, who had initially been expected to join Kenya Police as an assistant before opting for the Mombasa role, had overseen three matches and recorded two wins and a draw.
Police, on the other hand, arrived at the clash on the back of a hard-fought 1-0 win away to Mara Sugar, an outcome that saw their new head coach Nicholas Muyoti end the search for his maiden win at the club.
Interestingly, both Muyoti and Mwalala worked together at Kakamega Homeboyz before the former moved to Nairobi City Stars in September 2021.
