Organisations have a managerial heirachy. Most often than not, this well laid out structures are organised from the apex body to the secretariat which is led by the organisation's Chief Executive Officer. In the case of Football Kenya Federation (FKF), this organisational structure can hardly be put into context. The former head of secretariat Harold Ndege, the Ex-FKF CEO/ General Secretary put the federation's operations into jeopardy. FKF National Executive Commitee member Yusuf Abdalla nonetheless has stepped in to fill the gaps occasioned by the lapses caused by the former CEO. The de-facto FKF Mr. Fix It, Yusuf, a co-opted NEC member evidently had to stepped up to fill gaps which had been occasioned by the lapses of the former CEO to the extent of sometimes having to use his personal finances to settle issues which otherwise should be sorted out by the CEO of the federation. Although not in his mandate, Yusuf has in many instances stepped in to issue solutions that would have been done by the General Secretary. Sources indicate that it is Yusuf who has mostly even been folowing up on the developments of National teams even though it is not in his madate ,he has been following up payments at the ministry due to absence of leadership from Mr ndege. To assist the FKF President Hussein Mohammed in the execution of his mandate, Yusuf has been at the frontline especially during the turbulent times when the FKF CEO Ndege went rogue surbotaging the federation's programs to the detriment of the FKF president and his leadership. With the appointment of new acting CEO Dennis Gicheru, FKF looks at a brighter future as the country looks to host the upcoming AFCON 2027 finals. With a visionary CEO Gicheru and the ever present Yusuf Abdalla and other FKF top Leaders the FKF President Hussein can breath a sigh of relief knowing that FKF operations will get back into a flawless operational mode.
