Defending champions Nairobi United beat Posta Rangers and secure a place in the FKF Cup quarter-finals, to edge closer to retaining their title with qualification to the quarter-finals at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday, April 12th, 2026.

Fresh from a commanding 3-0 victory over Shabana and a 2-2 draw against Kakamega Homeboyz, Nairobi United, under Coach George ‘Solo’ Oduor were jittery in their intent to defend the crown after having lost to Posta Rangers 2-0 in their earlier SportPesa League meeting.

Nairobi United's breakthrough came in the 32nd minute. Enock Machaka’s delivery caused confusion in the box, and Kevin Wangaya reacted quickest, capitalizing on a loose ball to fire the defending champions into the lead.

Two times FKF Cup champions Bandari FC saw off National Super League (NSL) side 3K FC, securing a 2-0 victory on Sunday at Wang’uru Stadium to book their place in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Mozzart Bet Cup.

Bandari took the lead in the 24th minute through Clifford Otieno, after running behind his marker to connect with the ball to head the ball home crossed in the area by Said Tsuma.

Joseph Otieno, headed in a cross from William Wadri to double the scores in the 34th minute reach the quarter finals and in contention for third title they last won in 2019.

The teams through to the FKF Cup quarter-finals are Tusker FC, Kenya Police, Ulinzi Stars, Mfalme FC, Bandari, Shabana, KCB FC, and Nairobi United.

Brian Michira netted a decisive first-half strike enough to separate the two sides, as the Kisii-based outfit overcame a resilient Kuta Collection to finally break their Round of 16 curse and advance to the last eight for the first time in three attempts.

Michira found space in the final third after being teed by Brian Bett and unleashed a clinical loop that left Kuta Collection goalkeeper Mustapha Oduor with no chance.

Former Kenyan Premier League champions Tusker FC booked a place in the quarterfinals, following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Kariobangi Sharks at Kasarani Stadium on Friday.

The 2016 champions capitalized on a single chance, with Ian Simiyu netting the decisive goal.

Tusker took the lead, against the run of play in the eighth minute minute, through Simiyu, whose low and hard driven shot sailed past the fully-stretching Sébastian Wekesa.
