Police, suffered their first defeat under new coach dusan stojanovic
Record Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia ended title holders Kenya Police SporPesa League unbeaten run with a 2-0 win at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday, November 9th, 2025.
Gor Mahia scored inside 120 seconds through on-form Felix Oluoch, before Shariff Musa added a quick second to put the tie the score beyond the law enforcers reach.
The win - Gor Mahia’s fifth of the season - took them above previous leaders Kakamega Homeboyz with 16 points, while Police, who suffered their first defeat under new coach Dusan Stojanovic, dropped to 11th with eight points from five matches.
Kakamega Homeboyz 1 Murang’a Seal 1
Kakamega Homeboyz surrendered their lead to settle for a 1–1 draw against Murang’a Seal, at Bukhungu Stadium to drop from the summit of the league.
Paul Ngugi’s second-half strike, 20 minutes from time, cancelled out Potiphar Odhiambo’s 13th-minute penalty to see both teams share the spoils.
Ulinzi Stars 0 Shabana 1
Shabana FC put an end to their five-game winless run with a 1-0 victory over Ulinzi Stars away at Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi.
Shabana captain Mark Okola scored the only goal in the first half, for the visitors to finally win their first game since late September.
The win for Shabana - their third this season - saw them rise to seventh with 11 points, while Ulinzi, still without a win under interim head coach Stephen Ocholla, dropped right in the relegation zone (17th) with just six points.
Elsewhere in other games, last minute equalizers from Bandari and APS Bomet saw both KCB and Mathare fail to bounce back to winning ways on a dramatic afternoon in the league.
Bandari 1 KCB 1
Bandari equalised in the fifth minute of added time through Abdallah Hassan to cancel the lead by Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), who came on the back of three consecutive defeats, who looked home and dry when Richard Omondi headed in the opener after 65 minutes.
APS Bomet 1 Mathare United 1
At the Kericho Green Stadium, Mathare United took a 56th minute lead through on-form Elli Asieche, but for Hansel Ochieng to equalize for APS Bomet from the spot in stoppage time.
The results meant all of Mathare United, KCB and Bandari remained in the bottom half in position 13, 14 and 15 respectively, while APS Bomet remained rooted in last place with five points.
