Gor Mahia extended their fine form this season, making it four wins as Posta Rangers threw away a 2-0 halftime lead
Record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia made it four wins in a row after edging the 2008 winners Mathare United 2-0 in a SportPesa League clash at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, on Thursday, October 30th, 2025 afternoon.
After a barren draw in the first half, three minutes after the restart, Gor finally broke the deadlock. Paul Ochuoga whipped in a dangerous cross from the right, and Shariff Musa was perfectly placed to tap home, giving K’Ogalo a deserved lead.
Substitute Bryson Wangai then scored the visitor's second in stoppage time as Gor Mahia claimed maximum points to extend their winning streak to four matches.
Heading into the game, Gor were riding on three consecutive league victories. After an opening-day loss to Bidco United, they bounced back impressively with wins over Sofapaka FC, KCB FC, and Posta Rangers.
K'Ogalo now move to second on the log, a point and a game in hand against table toppers Kakamega Homeboyz.
Next up, Mathare United face AFC Leopards on Sunday at Nyayo Stadium, while Gor Mahia will host Ulinzi Stars on the same day at Kasarani.
Posta Rangers 2 Murang’a Seal 2
Posta Rangers threw away a 2-0 halftime lead to draw 2-2 with early-season strugglers Murang’a Seal FC at the Moi Kasarani Annex on Thursday, 30 October.
Caleb Olilo opened the scoring for Posta. The former AFC Leopards forward danced past a couple of Seal defenders before firing home with his left foot for a deserved opener.
Second half substitute Lucas Maina who replaced Paul Osama pulled one back for the visitors in the 67th minute, giving them hope of salvaging a result.
Their comeback was completed in the 75th minute when former Wazito FC forward Joe Waithira levelled the scores.
The draw lifts Posta Rangers to 11 points, two behind league leaders Kakamega Homeboyz, and they now sit second on the table. Murang’a Seal remain 17th with four points.
Next up for Posta is an away clash against Kenya Police FC on Sunday at the Police Sacco Grounds, while Murang’a Seal will host KCB FC on the same day in Murang’a.
Eleven minutes later, defender Faustine Ojiambo grabbed his second goal of the season, rising highest to head home a Jackson Dwang corner and double the hosts’ advantage.
