Gospel Singer Sarah K Distances Herself from Poster Claiming She Will Not Take Money from Politicians

Gospel singer Sarah K has moved to clarify her stance after a poster featuring her image went viral online, falsely claiming that she had vowed never to accept money from politicians. The poster, which had circulated widely on social media, suggested that the singer rejected political donations, framing it as a personal declaration of faith. “I don’t need any money from politicians. The Lord I worship is very rich,” details written on the poster read. In response, Sarah K shared the poster on her official Facebook page on Friday, January 16, 2026, to warn her followers about the misinformation. To further alert her fans, the new version of the poster she shared was marked with a large red stamp reading “Fake News”, clearly signalling that the claims were untrue. Aside from her church services, Sarah K is also renowned for hosting viral revival sessions, typically held at Nairobi Cinema every week, which draw hundreds of Kenyans, including celebrities. Music career Sarah, born Sarah Njeri Kiarie, is also a renowned gospel musician, worship leader, and songwriter. She is widely celebrated across East Africa and the international Christian community for her powerful vocals and influential worship ministry. Active since the early 1990s, Sarah has written over 100 songs. Her breakthrough hit, “Liseme,” solidified her position in the gospel industry, while other notable tracks such as “Nasema Asante,” “Hakuna Silaha,” and “Nina Sababu” continue to inspire audiences across generations. Over the years, she has been recognised for her contributions to gospel music and ministry.
