Iran Rejects Trump’s Peace Plan

U.S. envoys reportedly transmitted the peace proposal via Pakistan
Iran has rejected a peace proposal from the United States, describing it as “excessive” and unacceptable, and has instead outlined five conditions it says must be met before it will agree to end the ongoing conflict, according to state media and official sources. The U.S., under President Donald Trump, reportedly presented a 15‑point peace and ceasefire proposal aiming to halt hostilities in the Middle East and end the war; however, Tehran dismissed it and has refused to accept Washington’s terms. Iran’s counter‑conditions for agreeing to an end to the conflict include a complete halt to enemy aggression and targeted assassinations against Iran and its allies and mechanisms to prevent the war from being reimposed on Iran in the future. It is also seeking a guaranteed and clearly defined payment of war damages and reparations and an end to fighting across all fronts and for all resistance groups involved in the region. Iran’s leadership has insisted that any cessation of hostilities must be on Tehran’s terms and timeline, rejecting the notion that the United States—or any external power—can dictate how or when the war ends. U.S. envoys reportedly transmitted the peace proposal via Pakistan, but Tehran’s official response remains one of outright rejection rather than negotiation. The war continues with strikes and counterstrikes across multiple fronts, as diplomatic channels remain strained and distrust persists on both sides. This development signals a stalemate in diplomatic efforts to end the conflict, raising concerns that the war may persist absent a significant shift in positions from either side.
