The engagement convened ambassadors and senior diplomatic representatives from partner countries
The Kenya Investment Authority (Invest Kenya), in collaboration with the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry (MITI) and the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, today hosted members of the Diplomatic Corps for a high-level ambassadorial breakfast as momentum builds toward the Kenya International Investment Conference (KIICO) 2026. The engagement convened ambassadors and senior diplomatic representatives from partner countries, including the United States of America, United Kingdom, European Union and China, providing an advanced briefing on Kenya’s investment landscape, priority sectors, bankable projects, and policy developments - including the Digital One Stop Center for investors ahead of the conference scheduled for 25th –27th March 2026 in Nairobi. Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry, Lee Kinyanjui, noted that the forum strengthens collaboration with partner nations to accelerate foreign direct investment flows into Kenya and deepen long-term economic partnerships. " Kenya offers a good entry point for business, returns and stability for investors seeking to come and expand in Africa. We are here to not only request for your support but build win-win situations.” Principal Secretary, Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Abraham Sing’Oei said, “We expect close over 2 billion USD in investment deals during the conference, signalling that Kenya stands as exemplary investment destination in Africa.” Invest Kenya CEO John Mwendwa added that preparations for the conference are progressing swell with investor interest already exceeding expectations as Kenya continues to offer both competitive commercial opportunities and a skilled, innovation-driven workforce that enables rapid business scale. “Over 500 delegates have already confirmed attendance, with close to 1,000 participants expected from more than 30 countries. This strong momentum reflects both Kenya’s diverse investment opportunities and sustained investor confidence in the country’s economic stability, policy consistency, and predictable business environment.” Kenya, Africa’s sixth-largest economy by GDP, continues to demonstrate leadership across key growth sectors. The 2026 edition of KIICO will also host the 2nd COMESA Investment Forum (CIF) and the African Green Industrialisation Initiative (AGII) on the sidelines. Through KIICO 2026, the Government aims to convert investor dialogue into concrete partnerships and secure long-term investments that drive sustainable economic growth and expand economic opportunities for Kenyans.
