Kidero, Oburu hold talks on national unity and development

The former Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero today, Monday 16 March, 2026 paid a courtesy call on the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party Leader, Dr. Oburu Odinga, at his offices along Riverside Drive, where the two held discussions focused on national unity, governance, and Kenya’s development agenda.
During the meeting, the leaders emphasized the importance of cooperation and the strengthening of a broad-based government that brings together leaders from different political backgrounds to work in the interest of all Kenyans.
According to Kidero, the two leaders engaged on a constructive collaboration across political divides that remain essential for political stability, economic growth, and inclusive development.
The discussion also touched on the leadership and policy direction of H.E President William Ruto. The leaders underscored the need to support policies aimed at economic transformation, improved governance, and enhanced livelihoods for citizens.
They observed that a stable political environment and continued cooperation among leaders would be critical in enabling the government to effectively implement its development agenda and maintain public confidence.
Dr. Kidero described Dr. Oburu Odinga as an experienced and insightful leader whose counsel continues to play an important role in shaping constructive political dialogue and national development conversations.
