LG Reinforces Partnership with Carrefour Kenya in Brand Festival Consumer Campaign

LG Electronics has reinforced its strategic retail partnership with Carrefour through a two-week consumer campaign.
The Carrefour Brand Festival, which culminated in a live draw event at the Two Rivers Mall, brought together 45 leading consumer brands to offer promotional pricing and customer rewards. LG was among the headline partners, using the campaign to showcase its wide range of home appliances and electronics while reinforcing its long-standing commercial relationship with one of its most important retail distributors in the region.
To participate in the promotion, customers were required to purchase select LG products worth at least KES 14,000 at selected Carrefour outlets. Qualifying purchases gave shoppers the opportunity to enter a draw for a chance to win LG appliances, including microwaves, refrigerators, washing machines, and smart televisions. The draw provided customers with a chance to turn routine purchases into an opportunity to upgrade their homes with premium technology.
While the prize draw provided a celebratory highlight, the campaign primarily reflected LG’s retail strategy of strengthening engagement with consumers through trusted shopping platforms while supporting Carrefour’s milestone in the Kenyan market. Over the past decade, Carrefour has expanded its footprint and become a key gateway for global brands seeking to reach a growing base of urban consumers, making such partnerships commercially significant for both parties.
Speaking during the award ceremony, Irene Mwangi, the Regional Manager of LG East Africa’s Go-to-Market team, said the campaign reflected both a celebration of Carrefour’s growth in Kenya and a reaffirmation of LG’s commitment to working closely with the retailer across East Africa.
