Ligi Ndogo East Africa Cup 2026 Set to Kick Off Thursday in Nairobi

Nairobi, Kenya — August 19, 2026: The 19th edition of the Ligi Ndogo East Africa Cup is set to kick off tomorrow, Thursday, August 20, 2026, with hundreds of young footballers expected to take to the pitch at Ligi Ndogo Grounds and Impala Club Grounds along Ngong Road, Nairobi.

The four-day tournament will run from Thursday, August 20 to Sunday, August 23, bringing together more than 200 teams and thousands of young players from across Kenya and the wider East African region.

The tournament will feature seven age categories — U7, U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19 — giving young footballers an opportunity to compete, gain valuable match experience and showcase their talent.

Now in its 19th edition, the Ligi Ndogo East Africa Cup has continued to provide a competitive platform for youth football development, bringing together academies and teams, coaches, parents, scouts and football fans from across the region.

Four Days of Youth Football Action
