Karamor struck again with a wonder goal that could easily be a “goal of the season” contender
Mara Sugar brought AFC Leopards unbeaten Sportpesa League of the 2025/26 FKF Premier League season ith a 2-0 at the Awendo Green Stadium on Saturday November 8, 2025.
A late brace from Dennis Cheruiyot in the closing stages, first with a towering 87th-minute header, then again in stoppage time, to end Leopards’ six-game unbeaten streak and deny Ingwe a golden chance to go top of the table.
The result lifted Mara Sugar to seventh on 10 points, easing pressure on their camp, while AFC Leopards remained third with 12 points.
**Nairobi United 4 Kariobangi Sharks 2 **
The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Mozzartbet Cup champions Nairobi United fought from a goal down to edge out Kariobangi Sharks 4-2 at the Dandora Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Sharks drew first blood. In just the second minute, after Steve Mbulere sliced through Nairobi’s midfield and picked out Frankline Amollo Jr., who calmly slotted home his maiden top-flight goal to give Sharks a dream start.
Nigerian striker Michael Karamor latched onto a loose ball inside the box, smashing home his first goal of the season to bring the Dandora crowd to its feet in the 11th minute.
In the 36th minute when Lesley Owino pounced on a defensive lapse to slot home Nairobi’s second.
Enock Machaka unleashed a thunderbolt from distance seven minutes later, a goal that left Sebastian Wekesa rooted and the crowd roaring, as the hosts took a commanding 3-1 lead into the break.
Karamor struck again with a wonder goal that could easily be a “goal of the season” contender, curling the ball beautifully past Wekesa to make it 4-1 on the hour mark.
Sharks pulled one back in the 68th minute through Humphrey Aroko, whose close-range finish.
The result marked Nairobi United’s second successive victory, propelling Nicholas Muyoti’s men to third place on the table with 12 points, leapfrogging AFC Leopards, who had earlier fallen 2-0 to Mara Sugar.
For Sharks, the loss deepens their woes, dropping them to 17th on the 18-team log with just six points from seven rounds.
