A truck belonging to Chesumei Member of Parliament (MP) Paul Biego Polo was destroyed in Naivasha on May 18 during protests over fuel prices,.

Biego describing it as a devastating loss of property in what he termed lawlessness.

"Imagine the sheer heartbreak of watching years of your life’s work vanish in a single moment of lawlessness," he said in a Facebook post.

He said the Actros 3340 truck, valued at over Sh20 million, was burnt after delivering unga from Eldoret.

"Because of the lawlessness during today's uncalled-for Maandamano, my truck worth over Sh20 million—an Actros 3340—was completely destroyed in Naivasha simply because the perpetrators identified that it was from North Rift as it had just safely delivered unga from Eldoret to Kanini Haraka Wholesalers," he stated.

"This is not just a truck. It represents years of sleepless nights, relentless sacrifice, and honest hard work," he added.

He further alleged, "What's more heartbreaking and deeply unsettling is that there seems to be a coordinated active targeting and monitoring of vehicles and trucks from North Rift in this ongoing violence."

"My heart is heavy and the pain is deep. Seeing the honest labor of citizens destroyed in an instant is utterly heartbreaking. In a single flash of senseless violence, livelihoods have been shattered, families have been left vulnerable, and the dreams and sweat of so many people have been reduced to nothing but smoke and ashes."
