Record cup holders afc leopards, boasting ten titles
The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Mozzart Bet Cup champions and Kenyas CAF Confederation Cup representatives Nairobi United will begin their title defence against the Malindi sub county winners L-15. Nairobi United who beat pre-match favourites  record Kenyan premier league champions Gor Mahia 2-1 in the finals will play away against L-15 away in Malindi. Record cup holders AFC Leopards, boasting ten titles, hoping to end a nine-year trophy drought they travel to Kayole to face BB Bread FC. Gor Mahia will travel to Siaya County to meet Dero FC, seeking their elusive ninth domestic cup title. Tusker FC start their hunt for a sixth trophy against Mwea United, while two-time winners Bandari FC clash with the Sakaja Super Cup champions Githurai All Stars. Beginning their quest for a second cup title, the winners in 2023 Kakamega Homeboyz take a short trip to Kisumu to face Amani Youth FC Defending SportPesa League title holders and 2024 champions Kenya Police will take on Embakasi United, while last year’s semi-finalists Mara Sugar will travel to Kitale, Trans Nzoia County, to face Wisdom FC. National Super League side founded by Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga will battle former Kenyan Premier team Muhoroni Youth as Kenya’s 1988 Africa Cup Winners Cup representatives Shabana lock horns against the Iten based National Division two side Commons FC. This year’s edition consists of 15 Premier League teams, alongside three National Super League entrants. Winners will bag Ksh 3 million and earn the right to represent Kenya in the CAF Confederation Cup, while the first runners-up take home Ksh 2 million, second runners-up Ksh 1.5 million, fourth place Ksh 1 million, and fifth place Ksh 750,000. Individual awards will also feature in the prize list. The top scorer, best goalkeeper, best defender, and best midfielder will each receive Ksh 150,000, while the most promising young talent will take home Ksh 100,000. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) will be rewarded with KSh 200,000 alongside a personalized trophy. A total of 32 matches will mark the beginning of Kenya’s oldest domestic cup competition, now in its 70th year. Matches to the country’s most prestigious domestic cup are scheduled to start on the first weekend of February (7th–8th, 2026).
