Odm Mps Back Central Management Committee’s Resolution for Pact with Uda

The odm mps announced their unwaivering support and affirmed the resolutions arising from the kilifi meting.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Central Committee today, Monday, January 12, 2025 held a highstakes meeting in Kilifi County where the party adopted key resolutions charting the party’s political direction going forward.
The Central Management Committee chaired by party leader Dr. Oburu Oginga made the resolution to form a pre-election pact with UDA ahead of the 2027 General Election.
At the same time, over 75 ODM Members of Parliament held a consultative meeting and addressed the media at Karen in Nairobi, where they endorsed the committee's resolutions.
The ODM MPs announced their unwaivering support and affirmed the resolutions arising from the Kilifi meting.
Addresing the media, the MP's said that ODM remains united, focused, and clear on its path and that the party is in the Broad-Based framework to stay.
"This afternoon, together with fellow ODM MPs, we held a consultative meeting on the future of our party. We fully support the Central Management Committee’s decision to formally work with President William Samoei Ruto and a coalition with the United Democratic Alliance," the MPs noted inntheir statement.
"We also reaffirm our unwavering support for our party leader, Dr Oburu Oginga, and the unity and direction of Orange Democratic Movement," the legislators continued.
The Orange party's top brass met in Kilifi and Nairobi on a day when renegade members secretary general and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Deputy Party leader Godfrey Osotsi skipped both meetings.
