Odm Nairobi County Women League Aspirant Rosemary Okuta Drums up Support for Majua in Kariobangi North

Odm had settled on the best candidate who has the best ability to lead kariobangi north ward to greater development.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Women League Nairobi aspirant Rosemary Okuta has rallied the residents of Kariobangi North to elect the ODM Candidate Michael Ouma Majua in the Kariobangi North ward by elections scheduled to take place on November 27, 2025.
Okuta, who is vying for the ODM Nairobi women league chairperson’s position in a bid to end a 20-year reign of nominated MCA Catherine Akoth, went on a day long campaign trail in support of Majua traversing Kariobangi North ward in a meet the people door to door campaign alongside Majua and his team.
Okuta, who was accompanied by ODM Kariobangi North and ODM Embakasi North Office and women league rallied voters to elect Majua the ODM candidate noting that ODM had settled on the best candidate who has the best ability to lead Kariobangi North ward to greater development.
"I have known Majua for many years and I know him as someone who supports youth initiatives especially sports and talent development. He is a development conscious leader who when he was first elected in a by election he did a lot for Kariobangi in his only two years," Okuta said.
Majua was elected councilor /MCA of the same area in 2010 following a by-election and he is aiming at clinching the seat again in the November 27 by-election that was occasioned by the sad demise of former MCA Joel Munuve.
Ouma is the leading candidate according to latest opinion polls conducted by several research firms and his campaign strategy of going down to the common citizens of Kariobangi and resonating with their daily lives puts him ahead of the pack.
Majua, popularly known as ‘Oush Chair’ has been a grassroots community leader and an ardent supporter of youth empowerment and talent development having served a football administrator for more than two decades. Majua is the immediate former Football Kenya Federation NEC member for Nairobi, a position he extensively used to empower the youths especially from his Kariobangi backyard through sports.
The Majua, Okuta campaign team traversed Kariobangi, visiting residents in their areas of business markets and on their daily activities where they took the opportunity to discuss Majua’s manifesto which has a 10 point agenda to transform Kariobangi North ward with a new style of leadership that is people centered.
