Skyward Airlines Launches Nairobi–Vipingo Route to Boost Kilifi Tourism

Skyward Airlines and Vipingo Ridge have today marked a milestone in regional connectivity with the launch of a new flight route linking Nairobi to Vipingo. The inaugural flight was celebrated as a major step toward enhancing tourism, business travel, and investment in Kilifi County. The new route offers a faster and more convenient gateway to the Coast for tourists, homeowners, investors, golfers, and business travellers. It is expected to boost domestic tourism, stimulate local businesses, and strengthen Kilifi’s reputation as a premier lifestyle and investment destination. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Alex Horsey, CEO of Vipingo Ridge, highlighted the broader impact of the connection. “This inaugural flight isn’t just about connecting destinations; it’s about creating opportunities for Kilifi County.
