Ndege single sourced the contractors of the ksh 600 million fifa-funded technical center in machakos county.
Serious allegations of insurbodination and flaws in the tendering proceses of various Football Kenya Fereration (FKF) projects have been cited as part of the major reasons that led to the sacking of former FKF CEO/General Secretary Harold Ndege. Ndege allegedly single sourced the contractors of the Ksh 600 million FIFA-funded Technical Center in Machakos County. According to sources, Ndege sent names of firms to FIFA, after bypassing laid out structures of tendering at FKF pointing at wanton insurbodination by the CEO. The president came to know of this actions after the names were already forwarded to FIFA by Ndege without sharing reports of the bidding process. Ndege is accused of among others working unilaterary on sensitive federation matters pointing at serious malpractices which could end the federation at financial misapropriation of funds availed to FKF by the global football gorvening body FIFA. Ndege is said to have sourced for the contractor in the Machakos project and relayed information to FIFA about the tendering without the approval of top FKF leadership. FKF has agreed to the development of a major Ksh 600 million FIFA-funded Technical Center in Machakos County on 20 acres of land donated by the county government. Located in the new Machakos City, this facility will feature multiple pitches, a gym, and a 3-star hotel to serve as a national training, coaching, and talent hub. The center is designed to be a premier facility for training referees, coaches, and players. It will include one natural grass pitch, two artificial turfs, and an administration block. The project is a collaboration between FIFA, FKF, and the Machakos County government, aiming to enhance football infrastructure and develop local talent. The current FKF has been undertaking due dilligence in its operations inviting bidders for competitive applications in all its tenders and contracting, however, the former CEO acted in absolute disregard of due process.
