Nairobi City County is set to light up the city with The Nairobi Festival, taking place at Uhuru Park from 12th to 14th December 2025. For three days, the heart of the capital will transform into a vibrant celebration of music, art, food, fashion, sports and creativity, bringing together Nairobians from all walks of life to enjoy the best of the city. The festival will showcase local artistes, dancers, DJs, cultural groups, creative entrepreneurs, food vendors and innovators, offering a platform for talent to be seen, heard and supported. Families, youth and children will enjoy a mix of live performances, fun activities, exhibitions, games and outdoor experiences in a safe, organised and beautiful public space. Beyond entertainment, the Nairobi Festival is about Nairobi’s identity and pride. It brings Nairobians together to celebrate diversity, creativity and hustle culture, while also giving small businesses, creatives and SMEs a chance to earn, network and grow. For many young people, it will be an opportunity to showcase their gifts, build their brands and access new opportunities in the creative economy. Hosting the festival at the newly revived Uhuru Park also reinforces Nairobi City County’s commitment to reclaiming and beautifying public spaces, making them accessible, safe and enjoyable for all. For Nairobians, this means more shared experiences, more memories with family and friends, and a stronger sense of belonging to their city.
