Momentum Sports Africa, in partnership with Force One, will hold the second solo edition of the Solo D Signature Basketball Camp from November 16-27, 2026.

The structured development programme aims at preparing young Kenyan players for higher levels of competition.

The camp will run at Parklands Sports Club over two separate weeks that is from November 16-20, 2026 and November 23-27, 2026.

Sessions are held daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Young basketball players aged 12 to 17 may register for either week or both at a fee of KSh17,500 per week.

Leading the programme is professional player and two-time Basketball Africa League (BAL) champion Souleyman “Solo D” Diabate.

The Ivorian star brings elite experience, international coaching insight and direct mentorship to help participants strengthen their game and grasp the demands of competitive basketball.

“Talent alone is not enough. Young athletes need the right preparation, guidance and support to realise their potential,” the organisers state, outlining the camp’s guiding principle.

Training will cover ball handling, shooting, passing, footwork, defensive positioning, game awareness and decision-making. Beyond technical work, the programme includes sports nutrition education and sports psychology sessions focused on healthy habits, focus, confidence, resilience and mental readiness.

Diabate’s presence offers participants a closer look at the professional mindset. Through mentorship, young players will explore discipline, teamwork, consistency, coachability and the sustained commitment required to advance.

The initiative forms part of Momentum Sports Africa’s wider effort to strengthen Africa’s sporting ecosystem through athlete development, quality coaching, performance education and clear progression pathways.

The Solo D camp serves as the foundation of a broader pathway. It prepares players for upcoming Talent Identification camps and a subsequent Showcase designed to increase talent exposure. Organisers stress that participation does not guarantee selection, scholarships, recruitment or placement. Instead, the programme equips athletes with stronger skills, better habits and a clearer understanding of the work needed to pursue future opportunities.

At KSh17,500 per week, the fee covers structured training with international coaches, full-day meals, nutrition and psychology sessions, and exclusive Solo D camp souvenirs. The package aims to deliver a complete development experience that addresses technical, mental and lifestyle foundations.

The inaugural camp held in August 2026 at the same venue brought together young talent for training and mentorship under Diabate and supporting coaches, including Christian Mulumba of DME Academy, who led performance reviews and feedback sessions.

Parents and guardians of aspiring players aged 12 to 17 are invited to register online at https://events.msa.co.ke/apply?event=solo-d-2. Registration is now open.

Momentum Sports Africa is a data-driven sports marketing and athlete-development organisation focused on building sustainable pathways for African talent through technical preparation, performance support and structured opportunities for greater exposure.
