Visa, Worldwide Partner of the FIFA World Cup 26™, closed out a month-long tournament campaign last night, hosting fans, banking and fintech partners, and Visa cardholders at Nairobi Street Kitchen for a watch party marking the FIFA World Cup 26™ Final.

The event brought Kenya ’s football culture to the fore, gathering industry and public alike for the tournament’s biggest match.

The Final capped a campaign that saw Visa activate across the city, from mall engagements at Junction Mall and Sarit Centre to a content creator collaboration and a FIFA-themed mural celebrating Kenyan illustrator and muralist, Chelwek Chela. The watch party brought that momentum full circle, gathering fans from across Nairobi’s football community, alongside representatives from the banking and fintech sectors, for the tournament’s final match.

More than 250 guests attended the watch party, including football fans, Visa cardholders, and representatives from partner banks and fintechs. The evening featured performances from artists and creators, games and prizes, and experiential zones inspired by football for fans to immerse

themselves in, alongside the live broadcast of the Final.

Chad Pollock, VP and General Manager, Visa East Africa, said: "Football has a way of bringing Kenyans together like nothing else, and that spirit was on full display tonight. Over the past month, we’ve watched this campaign grow from mall activations to closing it out here at Nairobi Street Kitchen, surrounded by fans, our banking and fintech partners, and cardholders. It felt like the right way to celebrate the tournament's biggest night. Moments like this are exactly why we choose to invest in the things Kenyans love."

As Worldwide Partner of the FIFA World Cup 26™, Visa remains committed to celebrating the moments that matter most to Kenyans, connecting football, culture and payments in ways that reflect the everyday experiences of its cardholders and partners.
