The National Assembly Committee on Regional Development has kicked out Mumias East Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Salasya.
In a dispatch from the National Assembly, the MP was replaced by his Rongo counterpart Paul Abuor.
Changes were triggered by concerns raised by National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah regarding non-participation of some legislators in their respective committees.
Salasya who was elected to Parliament on former Defence Cabinet Secretary (CS) Eugene Wamalwa led Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) was appointed on October 27, 2022 after the last General Election.
.Abuor thanked the Opposition leadership for the appointment.
“I thank Leader of Minority Opiyo Wandayi and Chief Whip Junet Mohammed for appointing me to the House Committee,” he said.
