The Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA) Under 17, Under 15 and Under 13 teams cruised to comfortable wins in the just concluded Rausha Kipaji Football Tournament that was culminated yesterday, Sunday April 21, 2024 in Nakuru County.
MOFA teams went all out in the four day tournament to over ran their opposition in a bid to stamp their dominance in the age group tournament played at Nakuru Boys and Girls High Schools.
The MOFA Under 17 team was crowned champions after edging out Matunda Football Academy by a solitary goal courtesy of a strike from Michael Ibrahim.
it was Ibrahim who rose to occasion earlier in the semi finals as his goal downed Kings Soccer Academy to book a slot in the finals.
In the Under 15 years age category, a resilient MOFA side triumphed over Kesa Sports in the finals to be crowned champions. MOFA’s winning goal came from Ferouz Oyondi who was clinical in his finish to send MOFA to the trophy.
Along the way in the under 15 semi finals, the MOFA boys thrashed Lions Soccer Academy 5-0 to book their slot in the finals. MOFA upset Lions courtesy of goals from Enock Mwagani who scored a brace, Ferouz Oyondi, Biko Carlton and Rio Ferdinand.
In the under 13 age category,
MOFA defeated Stawisha Soccer Academy 4-1 with a brace from young turk Bradox, Asesa Fidel and Peter Ouma.
in the final, MOFA claimed a 1-0 victory over Express Soccer Academy who succumbed to an own goal to hand over victory.
The MOFA under 11 boys lost in post match penalties to Express Soccer Academy . Godfrey Ochieng had scored MOFAs goal in the 1-1 draw.
Along the way in the round of 16, MOFA”s Under 17 team drubbed Jamhuri Soccer Academy 5-0 with goals from Jeconia Ogutu who scored a hattrick, Brighton Nacheri and Michael Ibrahim.
