Kakamega, August 9th, 2024 — In a gesture that underscores his commitment to community empowerment through sports, former ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo today donated 30 sets of tracksuits to Kakamega Homeboyz FC. The donation ceremony took place at Kakamega High School, a venue symbolic of the region’s rich football heritage.
The tracksuits, provided by the Eliud Owalo Foundation, were handed over to the club’s leadership, including Chairman Cleophas Simanyula, Team Manager Boniface Imbenzi, and the team’s captain, Moses Mudavadi. Also in attendance was Dr. Julius Mambili, the Principal of Kakamega High School, further solidifying the event’s significance.
Eliud Owalo, a dedicated patron of the foundation, has long been a champion of initiatives aimed at fostering socio-economic development within local communities.
