Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Deputy President Doris Petra, has officially declared her candidacy for the for local soccer governing body’s Presidency with incumbent Nick Mwendwa as her running mate.
Doris Petra emphasized her commitment to building on the federation’s recent successes and driving the growth of Kenyan football.
She also highlighted her historical role as the first female FKF Vice President and her ambition to become the first female FKF President.
She expressed confidence in their team’s ability to secure victory in the upcoming elections.
“We are aiming for victory because we are strong despite the challenges. We have opponents so we can’t say it is a walk on the park, but we are sue of the people we have on the ground,” Petra said.
Petra and Mwendwa will battle immediate former FKF CEO Barry Otieno, FKF Cup champions Kakamega Homrnoyz owner Cleophas ‘Toto’ Shimanyula, record 21 times national league champions Gor Mahia Secretary General Sam Ochola, ex-Kenya international Sammy ‘Kempes Owino, the federatiob’s former NNEC member Tom Alila, Extreme Sports CEO Hussein Mohammed and FKF finance committee chairman Chris Amimo.
