“I am the best candidate for FKF leadership as President because I have been actively involved in the game, rising through the ranks from sub-branch leadership to my current role as Vice President. I am not just here to ask for your votes and disappear after the elections, only to resurface during the next season,” the Football Kenya Federation presidential candidate Doris Petra made in her last pitch as the polls entered home stretch.
Petra who is the current FKF deputy president is seeking to rise to the presidency said she started football leadership from the grassroots rising to her current position to understand all the stages of the sport to give sound leadership owing to her experience and exposure to be trusted with leading the federation.
Petra who is seeking to be the first woman in the history of Kenyan football to lead the federation said, “I have a burden as a woman to be myself so that I can also to give my best I want to give my bit as a woman, give me this as a woman who has been in football and ask me for what I will achieve”.
Petra said she is no stranger in the sport as she is always present in the game, working for the betterment of football.
“I mean well for this sport and have so much to offer to take it to the next level. I am committed to building on what has already been achieved and improving where needed, ” said Petra running under Team Blue.
Petra who will be vyeing for the presidency with the outgoing president Nick Mwendwa as her running mate said she has a lot to offer and improve from what has so far been done in promoting football in the country.
“To the FKF delegates am humbly asking for your votes to vote for me for football because you know me for having been in the game for the game, ” Petra made a passionate plea to the voters who will be casting their votes during the elections scheduled for Saturday, December 7th, 2024 in her final push for votes.
