The Limuru Country Club has been temporarily closed following a fire incident that razed down sections of the Golf club on Saturday, January 4, 2025.
In a statement released by the Limuru Country Club chairman John Keru, the club will remain closed temporarily in line with the club’s commitment to health and safety after sections of the club house went down in flames in the Saturday morning incident.
“Due to a fire incident at the clubhouse early this morning, January 4, 2025, and in line with our commitment to health and safety, the entire club and course will be temporarily closed until further notice. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time,” Keri said in the statement sent to media houses.
No casualties were reported from the 3:30 AM incident as no staff or guests were in the building during the fire incident but pictures obtained by Kenya Online News showed smoke billowing from the club located in Limuru, Kiambu County.
