Betika National Super League Action Resumes

The Betika National Super League is set to resume this weekend after a long Christmas festivities break.

The second tier club competition’s next round will be played on January 8th and the 9th, 2022  in various venues across the country.

The caretaker committee tasked with running football matters in the country had moved to postpone the previous rounds of matches after a series of issues raised by several clubs.

Amongst the issues, was the unacceptable non-payment of referees and inaccessibility of match statistics.

But the resumption set for this weekend is a good sign as most of their concerns have been addressed.

Kibera Black Stars kick off the restart with a duel at home, at Camp toyoyo against Kirinyaga county based Fortune Sacco at 3pm, on Saturday, January 8th, 2022.

At the Thika Municipal Stadium Mully’s Children’s Family (MCF) will be hosting Dandora Love formerly Mount Kenya United at 3pm.

In Mombasa , Mombasa Elite will be hosting former Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Muhoroni Youth at the Serani grounds as Silibwet FC take on Administration Police Bomet (APs Bomet) at Bomet stadium.

In the last match of the day,former premier league side Vihiga United will try to squeeze three points off Mwatate United at the Bhukungu stadium.

On Sunday the 9th, newly promoted Naivas FC will be at Camp Toyoyo locking horns with the 1988 Kenya’s Africa representatives Shabana at 3pm.

Coastal Heroes entertain a visiting Gusii FC at the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Mbaraki Sports Club as Kisumu All Stars host league debutantes Mara Sugar at the Moi Stadium, Kisumu.

Migori Youth host SS Assad at the Awendo Green Stadium, while Murang’a seal will seal the day’s schedule by visiting a struggling Zoo at the Kericho Green Stadium.
