Lady Doves sensation Fazila Ikwaput says she is looking forward for the top scorer gong after netting a brace in their opening match against FAP FC of Djibouti. Ikwaput was instrumental in their huge 5-0 win in the tournament opener.
Ikwaput is hoping for a good outing after shaking a nagging injury before the tournament kicked off on 28 August, 2021.
“Today’s match was fair for me. I didn’t give out my best in this match because I’m recovering from an injury. I’m expecting to play fully in the coming matches and score more goals because scoring is my job,” she said.
The striker added that she would like to replicate her performance in the FUFA where she emerged as the top scorer and the Most Valuable Player award.
