“Come Auction My Properties” Ngina Kenyatta to the Government.

Former First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta spoke out against the pointless politicization of tax problems in a rare public statement.

Mama Ngina said politicians were spreading lies in order to appear to be engaged in the recent political uproar blaming her family of not paying taxes.

Mama Ngina added that public protests have no place in questions of taxation and that tax issues can be resolved through official channels and, if necessary, the legal system.

Mama Ngina says that paying tax is mandatory to all people wether old or young, it depends on individual earnings.she says that payment of tax is not an issues to be addressed everywhere because there is a court to deal with those who don’t pay their tax.

The former First Lady addressed the crowd on Saturday at the dedication of the Tewa Catholic Church in Mpeketoni, Lamu County, which she assisted in building.

If it is true that Mama Ngina has not been paying her taxes, she has gone so far as to dare the government to sell her possessions and property at auction to make good on any alleged obligation.
