Kenya’s U20 Women’s National team will host Uganda in the second round of the 2022 FIFA U20 World Cup Qualifiers. The first leg is scheduled for Saturday 25, September at the Nyayo National Stadium with a return set for 8 October 2021 in Uganda.
The national side has intensified preparations for the two-legged fixture under the Harambee Starlets head coach Charles Okere.
Commenting ahead of the fixture, Okere is feeling determined hoping that his charges will get positive results from the fixture.
“We begin our FIFA U20 Women World Cup campaign against Uganda this Saturday, and we are determined to get a positive result that will take us a step closer to our dream of featuring in the 2022 FIFA U20 Women World Cup.” said Rising Starlets head coach Charles Okere.
The Ugandans shifted base on Wednesday 22 , 2021 from FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru to Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisaasi. Head coach Ayub Khalifa Kiyingi is expected to name the final squad later today.
The team is expected to arrive in Kenya on Thursday morning ahead of the clash set for Saturday, 25 at Nyayo National Stadium.
The winner of the tie on aggregate will face the winner of the second-round tie pitting Mozambique against South Africa.
