Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has terminated its partnership with betting firm Odibets for breach of contract.
In a press statement, the federation said it had terminated the partnership with immediate effect and will continue to engage with partners who share their commitment and vision for the growth of the game in Kenya.
Towards the end of 2019, Odibets signed a multi-million sponsorship deal with Football Kenya Federation (FKF) to help develop grassroots football.
On December 5th, 2019, FKF inked a Sh127 million deal with Odibets aimed at growing local football talent at the grass root level.
The betting firm was expected to provide all clubs taking part in the leagues with six balls and playing kits.
The three-year deal was supposed to see all FKF county leagues renamed Odibets County leagues beginning this season.
