Black Mamba Handball team today received Kits and cash donation from Makadara Business man Antony Waithaka as they prepare to leave for Dar es Salaam, Tanzania for the annual East and Central Handball club Champions set to be held from 28th November Tanzania.
Antony Waithaka, also contesting for Makadara Parliamentary seat gave out two sets of uniforms and cash award to help the team with its logistics around preparation of team as they set to grace the tournament for the which was not held last year due to the covid 19 pandemic.
This team has been participating in the annual East Africa tournament for the last ten years.
2013, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018 has been the best years for the handball team finishing second position in those years.
Black Mamba was established in 1980 with their base in Kaloleni area in Nairobi.
“This team has been a pride of Makadara for very many years and I want to assure them that we will be supporting them as they prepare to go to Dar es Salaam and we will be praying for you to bring the trophy home,” Waithaka said.
Waithaka wishes to prioritize sports as an economic activity once he is elected as the MP.
