Joho, Junet, Oparanya Emerge from Hiding to Meet Raila

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) deputy leaders Ali Hassan Joho, Wycliffe Oparanya and National Assembly Minority Whip Junet Mohammed emerged from obscurity to team up with party leader Raila Odinga after months of absentia in the party activities.

The trio, met and shared lunch, according to photos posted on a social media post by Raila.

Junet and Joho were permanent fixtures in Azimio rallies but suddenly missed in action after Raila’s August 2022 General Election defeat. This sparked several speculations.

During the Azimio rally at the Jacaranda grounds in Nairobi, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka said that they are taking stock of leaders who have kept off the meetings.

Azimio is currently facing turbulence after ODM MPs allied met President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua at State House, raising questions on whether they have switched their loyalty to the Kenya Kwanza government.
