Jubilee Notifies Registrar Of Political Parties On Party Officials’ Changes

The Registrar of Political Parties has formally been notified on the recent changes in Jubilee Party made by the National Executive Committee (NEC).

The Party’s Deputy Secretary General Joshua Kutuny officially presented the caheges to the Office of the Political Parties Registrar where he also attached documents of their meetings which made various resolutions including the suspension of  Vice Chair David Murathe , the Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni and National Treasurer Kagwe Gichochi.

This also includes the list of the Jubilee Party National Executive Committee members who attended the NEC meeting held in Nakuru last Friday, February 10, 2023.

“Kindly acknowledge receipt of the said documents and confirm to us that the National Executive Committee is now compliant with the two thirds gender rule,” reads the letter in part.

Following the suspension of the said officials, Eldas MP Adan Keynan was appointed as the acting vice chairperson, East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) Member of Parliament (MP) Kanini Kega was appointed as the Acting Secretary General and Kitui Women Rep Rachael Nyamai as the National Treasurer.

The NEC also resolved to have the Internal Dispute Resolution Mechanism convened immediately to consider disciplinary cases lodged against the suspended officials.

This move came after close to 32 Jubilee MPs broke ranks with the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya and joined hands with the President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance, following a meeting with President Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua at State House Nairobi on Wednesday last week.
