East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) Member of Parliament Kanini Kega has threatened to go court if Jubilee Party (JP) is not represented in the National Dialogue between Kenya Kwanza and Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition party
“If Jubilee Party will not be represented in the dialogue talks then we meet in Court. Jubilee is the 3rd largest Party in Kenya,” Kega said in a statement on Tuesday, August 16th, 2023.
Currently, Azimio is represented in the dialogue by Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, former Defence Cabinet Secretary (CS) Eugene Wamalwa Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K), National Assembly Minority leader Opiyo Wandayi, Nyamira Senator Okong’o Omogeni and Malindi MP Amina Mnyazi of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
On the other hand, Kenya Kwanza is represented in the dialogue by Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Kimani Ichung’wah, Senate Leader of Majority Aaron Cheruiyot, Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire EALA MP Hassan Omar of the United Democrtic Alliance (UDA) and Bungoma Woman Rep Ford Kenya’s Catherine Wambilianga.
In the two teams, there is no member of the Jubilee Party. The party is currently a member of the Azimio coalition.
Already, a motion to set up the National Dialogue Committee has been tabled in the National Assembly, co-sponsored by Ichung’wah and Wandayi.
