Kenya’s COVID Cases rise to 18,000 with new 606 Ingections

New 606 COVID-19 positive cases were tested from 4,888 samples tested within the last 24 hours a as the cases surged to 18,581 in Kenya.

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, addressing the press on the daily coronavirus briefings at Afya House on Tuesday,July 28th, 2020,ย said Kenya has now tested 284,500 samples so far since the disease was first confirmed within the territory.
The 606 patients include 583 Kenyans and 23 foreigners, composed of 409 males and 197 females between 4 months to 85 years of old.
The new cases were distributed in: Nairobi (448), Kiambu (54), Kajiado (25), Machakos (16), Uasin Gishu (11), Nakuru (11), Kericho (9), Busia (7), Mombasa (7), Garissa (6), Bomet (3), Nyeri (2), Narok (1), Nandi (1), Embu (1), Lamu (1), Murangโ€™a (1).
He said 75 patients were discharged from various hospitals across the country, taking the number of recoveries to 7,908.
The CS, however also added that fatalities rose to 299 as 14 patients succumbed to the disease within the last 24 hours.
