Lotto Pampers Teenage Mothers in Motherhood

Lotto Foundation in partnership with Totocare box Africa Trust visited St. John’s Hospital in Kiambu county to donate Totocare kits which included handwash soap, sanitizers and dispensers to the new mothers who visit the the health facility.

So far Lotto foundation has made such donations to young and teenage mothers in over five counties which include Nairobi, Uasin Gishu,,Nandi, Kwale ,Kiambu and Elgeyo Marakwet .

This project aims at providing new mothers from poor and marginalised communities with a maternal kit that comes with 18 essential items for newborn babies in equiping them in their motherhood journey.

The foundation’s Maternal, Newborn & Child Health program envisions a world in which healthy mothers deliver healthy babies and receive quality care

“We invest in understanding the biological and social vulnerabilities of women and babies to inform the development of innovative tools and practices that can strengthen health care systems, reduce inequities, and improve health outcomes for women, newborns, and children,” said Lotto Chief Executive Officer Dr Joan Mwaura .
