Eastleigh North Member of the County Assembly Mohammed Dabar Kador yesterday, 21st March 2023, hosted Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja to a joint meeting alongside the leadership of the Eastleigh Business Community as he moves towards upping his delivery strategy.
During the meeting, Kador committed to helping the governor fulfill his promises to the people of Nairobi as well as continue with an elaborate plan to improve the drainage systems in the area as well as repair and construct over 13 more access roads.
“We are committed to working with the governor to make sure he fulfills his promises to the people of Nairobi and improve the business environment in Eastleigh,” Kador said.
Kador thanked the business community for volunteering to help him construct a borehole at the new Eastleigh primary school.
He promised to build more learning blocks at New Eastleigh primary, employ more ECD teachers and make education competitive.
The meeting, whose main agenda was to foster the relationship between the business community and the county government bore a lot of fruits with the local leadership praising the County administration for timely action within the densely populated business area.
The governor, on his part, was inspired by the meeting. Governor Sakaja promised to look into the array of issues raised by the business community noting that he will help them make business easier.
The governor promised to improve the county revenue collection system and make it more accessible and efficient.
As well, the governor pledged to employ at least 30 more county staff per ward to handle garbage and other environmental waste.
The meeting agreed to hold similar sessions with the governor going forward while praising Kador for his commitment to work for the electorate.
