Gor Mahia and Tusker take centre stage on Wednesday in a spicy clash of former champions at the MISC Kasrani in FKF Premier League round 15 action.
Gor Mahia Head Coach Jonathan Mckinstry says his charges are ready for the tie but they expect a tough game against the Champions.
“Tusker are a difficult opponent, we know we need to be our best. Some may say Tusker have dropped some points recently, but a wounded animal is the most dangerous type.”
Gor Mahia has only lost once this season and has the best defence in the league conceding only four goals so far.
“The guys are going into the game ready and we are confident we can put out another top performance, ” said Mckinstry
Tusker currently in fourth position, three points behind league leaders Nzoia Sugar, have had a patchy run of form recently losing 0-3 to Kenya Police FC and drawing 1-1 with Kariobangi Sharks in their last two outings.
“There is nothing to fear, despite it being a tough match, we are rectifying our mistakes and also bringing back our fighting spirit ahead of the game,” opined Tusker head coach Matano.
” The race is still on; those are the dynamics of football, sometimes you are up, sometimes you are down.”
At Utalii Grounds Kariobangi Sharks welcome leaders Nzoia Sugar in a game that pits two speedy attacking sides against each other.
Sharks Head Coach Wiliam Muluya says his side is looking forward to the game.
“We welcome them to Nairobi, we are ready to give them a game.”
