He said the private sector must benefit from the investment made by the government in NYS.

“I have seen the Huawei DigiTruck outside that is training youth in these digital skills, and my Ministry is already discussing with Huawei how we can collaborate further on this and other projects. What they have done with that truck, as well as their other programs for students in TVETs, Universities and Professionals is highly commendable,” he said.

The CS was speaking during this job fair, under the theme ‘empowering a futuristic workforce’ organized by the Nation Media Group and Huawei at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) on Thursday, December 15th, 2022.

“As the CS for Youth Affairs, Sports and The Arts, I am acutely aware of the need to empower a futuristic workforce in Kenya. And this is why I am excited to be here. This is an excellent platform to employers to showcase employment opportunities and for us to deliberate on ways to equip our young people for employment and entrepreneurship,” he said.
