More grass root coaches to benefit from a CAF D coaching course

Kibera MP today opened a coaching course that is set to benefit over 40 grassroot coaches, with the coaches getting CAF D license once they complete the course.

FIFA/FKF instructors Leonard Odipo and George Mwangi will undertake guidance of the course which will run for 10 days at the Rowllan Camp in Nairobi.

During the opening ceremony, Kibra MP Imran Okoth lauded the Federation’s efforts in ensuring the capacity building of their coaches to enhance the state of football in the country.

“I would like to laud the Federation’s efforts in ensuring their coaches are equipped with the proper knowledge and skills that will in the long run help enhance the state of football in the country,” said Kibra MP Imran Okoth

FKF NEC Member Nairobi Region Michae Majua was elated at the number of coaches who showed up to begin their coaching journey

“The turnout in this course is a great indication of how our grassroots coaches really want to get the proper knowledge and skills to help us improve the standards of football in the country,” FKF NEC Member Michael Ouma Majua

FKF Nairobi West Chairman Caleb Malweyi urged former players to take up the courses provided by the Federation and help us grow football in the country.

“We have seen former international players like Josiah Ougo, Kenneth Wendo and Victor Ochieng come and begin their coaching journey, I would like to urge other players to take up these courses provided by the Federation and help grow the game,” said FKF Nairobi West Chairman Caleb Malweyi.

In a bid to improve the standards of football in the country, the Federation made capacity building one of its key pillars and has over the years trained over 3000 coaches.
