Police FC is determined to secure their first victory of the season when they face Shabana FC at the Raila Odinga Stadium on September 16, 2023.
The team, yet to score a goal this season, is among the three FKF Premier League squads grappling with a goal drought, with AFC Leopards and Kakamega Homeboyz sharing the same struggle. Despite their challenging start to the league, Police FC’s assistant coach expressed optimism about the upcoming match.
“After two weeks of preparation, we are eager to secure a victory against Shabana FC. The initial results haven’t been favorable, but we’ve learned from our mistakes. The team’s morale is high, and we are ready to bounce back,” stated Babu in a pre-match interview.
South Sudan international Rashid Toha echoed this sentiment, emphasizing their determination to win the upcoming game.
“While the start of the season has been disappointing, it doesn’t mean we can’t reverse our fortunes. We’ve returned from international duties and are diligently preparing for the upcoming challenge. Our primary objective against Shabana is to secure a win,” Toha declared.
Shabana FC, having secured promotion after 17 years in the lower-tier league, shares a similar goal of claiming their first victory in the new campaign.
