Red Cards and Draws Mark Sakaja Super Cup Round Four

The Sakaja Super Cup matches Embakasi East were marked with draws and red card at Karagita grounds on Saturday, November 4th, 2023.

The Embakasi East matches witnessed a record three red cards in the four matches played as 10 players were cautioned with yellow cards.

Kevin Omondi scored in the dyeing minutes for Team Unfit to hold Savannah Boda 1-1 in a bad tempered match

Omondi cancelled Elvis Sikundi’s 26th minute strike in the 87th minute.

The tension packed match saw the centre referee flash five cards which included a red card. Savanna’s Olola Kristopher, Kanguri Robert and Team Unfit’s Meshak Gichuki while Brayan Mengich was given marching orders for a second bookable offence.

In another match, Nairobi Legends fought to a 0-0 draw against Soweto Hope as Shinners All Stars match against Utawala Youth ended in a barren stalemate.

The Shinners versus Utawala fixture witnessed the least cautions with only two players being cautioned with yellow cards who included Shinners’ Zanaya Moseti and Utawala’s Victor Ouko.

In the Nairobi Legends against Soweto four yellow cards were issued to Lewis Isaboke and Samuel Ashim of Legends together with Soweto’s Olivia Didia and James Omondi.

Goals scored in both halves saw Santos Hotspur and Youth Vision to a 1-1 draw. Mike Billy put Youth Vision into the lead in the 20th minute before Elijah Mukile equalised for the Spurs in the 76th minute.

Both teams were reduced to ten men after Benson Muthengi (Santos Hotspur) and Omar Okumu (Youth Vision) were red carded. Hotspur’s Andrew Abasi and Brayan Naftali escaped with yellow cards.

It was goals galore in Embakasi Central as Bongonaya and Iraki Foundation went on rampage to hammer their opponents at Umama grounds.

Moses Ochola, Brian Kuria and Francis Onyango each scored a brace for Bongonaya to trounce Kapolo FC 9-1.

Elias Daudi scored Kapolo’s consolation goal in the49th minute before being given marching orders by being flashed with a red card.

Jackson Safari scored twice as Iraki Foundation thrashed Blue Sky 5-1 as Fortune Kindreren and Ballistic settled for a goalless draw.

Kayole South earned points without sweat after Matopeni United failed to turn up for the match.
